E. W. Howell and Capital Grille Get cooking at Chrysler Trylons

New York, NY – E. W. Howell Co., Inc., one of the oldest and largest construction companies on Long Island, with a branch office in Manhattan, is proud to announce that the firm was chosen to provide general construction services for RARE Hospitality International Inc.’s Capital Grille flagship restaurant located in the Chrylser Trylons building.

The Atlanta-based company owns the upscale steakhouse chain, Capital Grille; the firm took a year and a half to find the perfect Manhattan location for it’s flagship reataurant – the ground floor and basement level of the Chrysler Trylons.  Three triangles from 57 to 73 feet tall spike into the Manhattan skyline between the two Chrysler buildings.

This interior high end fit-out is located on the 9,900 SF ground floor which will encompass the seating space; and the 5,000 SF basement level which is housing the food preparation area.  The warm mahogany finishes and private seating areas add a civilized feel to the trendy eatery.

The fine-dining restaurant offers a menu with specialties including lobster and caviar along with dry aged steaks, lamb and veal complimented with an award winning wine list; all of which should appeal to the midtown crowd and tourists alike.

The project team consists of William Sawch – Project Executive, Vicki Chapman – Project Manager, Joe Colavita - Superintendent with Charmaine Barnes and Tiffany Haynes acting as Project Assistants.
