E.W. Howell Honored at 2004 Build NY Awards

 Woodbury, NY – November 12, 2004 –The winners of the 2004 Build New York Awards, the statewide construction industry awards program recognizing excellence in construction management, were honored at a gala awards presentation at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx on October 28, 2004 .

 E.W. Howell was chosen for the small-medium new project category for the work completed on the New York Botanical Garden Visitor Center . This recently completed structure is a stunning addition to one of New York City 's great cultural landmarks. The Visitor's Center, with construction completed by E.W. Howell, acts as a grand entrance to the Botanical Gardens, and provides an entry loggia, café building and retail space. Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates designed the three one-story buildings that offer an area of 20,700 square feet. Out of the handful of award winners, it was the reputable New York Botanical Garden that was chosen for the award venue that evening.
