E.W. Howell to Build for Hofstra University

Woodbury, NY - 5/6/2005 - E. W. Howell Co., Inc., one of the largest and most established construction companies on Long Island, is proud to announce that the firm was hired as General Contractor for the new academic building being built on the Hofstra University campus in Hempstead, NY.

 This new four story building, with architecture by TEK , will be approximately 46,000 SF and is scheduled to be completed in August 2006. The new academic building will include a black box theater, a state of the art rehearsal hall and office space for Hofstra's School of Communication and the Departments of Music and Drama and Dance.

 E.W. Howell has worked with many colleges and universities such as Columbia University, Stony Brook University, Long Island University and Suffolk County Community College .
