E.W.Howell Co., Inc. is part of a major modernization project by Stony Brook University Hospital . Phase I of this renovation includes the construction of a parking deck and emergency department expansion.

The 8,900 SF parking deck consists of 2 levels with the capacity to hold approximately 200 cars. It also includes ambulance bays, an elevated emergency heliport pad and control tower.

The additional emergency room space adds up to 5,000 SF of operational emergency department, expanding its capabilities.
