In October 2006, E.W. Howell completed the Research Support Building (RSB) at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton , NY . This two story building occupies 64,054 SF and consolidates frequently visited administrative and support functions in a single location.

Ehasz Giacalone Architects P.C., designed the building which features a glass atrium-style lobby connecting two wings of offices covered by a metal panel façade.

The Research Support Building earned a LEED Certification with a Silver rating and is Brookhaven Lab's first LEED project.
